Throwing Around Big Numbers
by WP on Jun.30, 2009, under General
On one of my days off last week, I spent a good part of the afternoon snooping around the blogosphere, and I found some pretty interesting posts. One blog that has really caught my attention is written by a professor (of what, I’m not sure just yet) and focuses on economics and finance. His blog can be found at http://financialrounds.blogspot.com/ He created a post about the spending cuts of the American government, and the video he used from Youtube actually puts things into perspective very well. I have embedded the video at the bottom of this post.
One thing to keep in mind, the $700 billion bailout package is equivalent to approximately 1/5 of the pennies on that table. I particularly liked the comment in the video about the pennies with the Queen on them. You’ll have to watch the video to find out just what I mean.
